Functions are the most important tools used in mathematics and other sciences. There are many kinds of functions that behave in a totally different ways. The features and attributes of functions can be used in modelling of real-life problems, that seems to be very difficult at first glance. During the workshop we will consider the following types of functions and we introduce their applications:
Linear function-> Taximeters (Piecewise linear function)
Quadratic function-> Trajectory of the ball, swimming pool jumps
Trigonometric functions-> Ferry wheel
Exponential function->The Newton's cooling law, development of the population
Logistic function-> The expansion of the coronavirus.
