Please join me on a (literary) tour of Chicago and its suburbs! We'll visit Ernest Hemingway's birthplace in Oak Park (whose street art you can see in the picture attached). We'll see where Michelle Obama grew up on the South Side. We'll accompany the Windy City's gangsters on their illegal outings. Using Google Maps, we'll follow the characters of many literary works (by, among others, Nelson Algren, Upton Sinclair, Sandra Cisneros, Stuart Dybek, etc.) on their walks around the Windy City. We'll read fragments of literary texts in English and through games and riddles we'll try to figure out where we are in Chicago. It will be fun!
