The human microbiota is a complex group of microorganisms in which bacteria and fungi play the greatest role. They have a beneficial effect on the human body, supporting metabolism and immunity, protecting against pathogens, and providing it with some substances necessary for its functioning, including vitamins. The proper composition of this population contributes to the maintenance of human health, and the disturbance in its structure contributes to the development of many systemic diseases such as depression, atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes, cancer, allergies, and gastrointestinal diseases. In the presentation, we will see the growth of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) on various types of media. We will also see microscopic preparations and discuss the relationship between microorganisms and humans.
